OpenClaw Personal

Privacy Policy

Effective August 22, 2026

OpenClaw Personal is a private household assistant operated by Nexus Studio for the owner and one invited household member. This policy explains how the assistant handles information received from Google APIs.

Google data we access

After a user grants permission through Google OAuth, OpenClaw Personal may access data from that user’s Gmail and Google Calendar accounts. Depending on the task and the permissions granted, this may include:

The assistant requests only the Google permissions needed for its configured Gmail and Calendar features.

How we use Google data

Google data is used only to provide user-requested household-assistant functions. Examples include locating or summarizing a message, preparing or sending a reply, reviewing a schedule, and creating or updating a calendar event. Data from one authorized Google account is not used to perform tasks for the other account unless the affected user explicitly requests or shares that information.

Storage and security

OAuth credentials are kept separately for each Google account and stored on systems controlled by the household operator. Google data is processed only as needed to complete requested tasks. Relevant content may appear in locally controlled assistant history or logs so that the assistant can provide continuity and troubleshooting. Access to the assistant and its stored credentials is restricted to authorized household users and administrators.

No method of storage is completely secure, but reasonable technical and administrative safeguards are used to protect credentials and data. OAuth tokens are not committed to the public website or its source repository.

Sharing and disclosure

Google user data is not sold, rented, used for advertising, or shared with data brokers. It is not disclosed to third parties except:

OpenClaw Personal’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Retention and deletion

Google data and locally retained assistant history are kept only as long as needed for the configured personal-assistant functions, security, and troubleshooting. An authorized user may revoke OpenClaw Personal’s access at any time through their Google Account permissions. The household operator can also delete the account’s stored OAuth credentials and associated locally retained data upon request.

Your choices

Each user chooses whether to authorize a Google account and which permissions to grant. A user may decline requested permissions, disconnect their account, or revoke access through Google. Some assistant functions will not work without the corresponding permission.

Children

OpenClaw Personal is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the assistant’s features or data practices change. The effective date above will be revised when changes are published.
